Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi announced he was tremendously proud of actor-model Zhalay Sarhadi for not "taking off her clothes" in Jalaibee.

The actor made a statement about the recently released crime-caper film on his Facebook page.

Abbasi said he was also proud of director Yasir Jaswal for not carrying an 'item number' in the movie.

The actor appreciated Jaswal for not going along with the emerging trend of revealing item numbers in Pakistani films.

The film, after its release on 37 sights and 71 screens across the country, earned a total of approximately Rs10 million (exact figures yet to be compiled) on its opening day.

The figures were confirmed by ARY Films, the movie’s distributor. This is also the biggest opening for any non-holiday/festival release in Pakistan so far.

Hamza's statement came a day after teaser of Ayesha Omar's item number made headlines.

Arif | 9 years ago | Reply Must be a real slow day for news at the Tribune for a comment by some random chappie to be considered newsworthy. Who is this guy anyway, and why should we be even remotely interested in his opinions, quoted here without any comment on their obvious misogyny. Paper really needs to have some editorial judgement.
