Murder case registered over killing of MQM worker

Waqas Ali Shah was shot dead during aerial firing following Rangers raid at MQM headquarters

A murder case has been registered against unidentified persons over the killing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker Syed Waqas Ali Shah, Express News reported.

Shah was shot dead during aerial firing following the raid. The case was registered in the Azizabad police station in Karachi on Thursday.

Rangers carried out a raid at Nine-Zero, the headquarters of the MQM in Karachi, on Wednesday, during which the party claimed that several leaders had been arrested and one worker had been killed.

Shah was a member of the MQM Central Information Committee.

Funeral prayers

The funeral prayers of Waqas Shah were held at Jinnah ground. MQM leaders, including Haider Abbas Rizvi, Faisal Sabzwari and hundreds of party's workers were present at the funeral.

The MQM worker will be laid to rest at Shuhuda Graveyard in Yasinabad.

Farhan | 9 years ago | Reply @T+: Its ranger who killed this guy, video clearly shows ranger shooting in all direction, no other person in the video has gun in the hand except ranger, sound of gun shot is exactly coming from same distance. If it was MQM man , gun shot sound would be much louder. clearly rangers are lying.
Hasan Askari | 9 years ago | Reply BTW Where is courage of Mr. Imran Khan, Nisar and Rangers when it comes to speaking against Aziz of Lal Masjid? He was caught escaping in Burqa, weapons were found, he supports terrorists and he is being paid by government and now a respected man. Musharraf who went after him was made an example I don't see hashtags, support for action against that criminal? This is karma and Allah's nizam..for this hypocrisy innocents suffer.
