Crackdown: Search operation in airport area

During the operation police questioned 811 persons and checked 111 houses, hotels, motels and vehicles.

RAWALPINDI: Police launched an operation in the airport and its adjoining areas on Thursday. The operation was launched on the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan and was supervised by the Superintendent Police SP Potohar in an effort to curb crime. According to detail, police and other law enforcement agencies carried out search operations in Dhoke Munshi, Katchi abadi and adjacent localities in the jurisdiction of Police Station Airport. During the operation police questioned 811 persons and checked 111 houses, hotels, motels and vehicles. However, no arrests have been made during the search operation, informed police spokesman.
