KOHAT: A man allegedly shot and killed the man suspected of killing his four brothers.

The shooting occurred at the Kohat district courts while the accused was in police custody on Tuesday. A police officer was also injured in the incident.

A Kohat Cantonment policeman said law-enforcement officials had taken Tashfin to the court for his hearing. Tashfin is accused of being responsible for at least five murders.

The policeman said Syed Rahim reached the court and opened fire on Tashfin, injuring him and another police officer. Both the injured were rushed to the hospital but Tashfin succumbed to his injuries en route.

Tashfin had allegedly killed four of Rahim's brothers  as well as police personnel Hassan Mehmood, said the Cantonment officer, adding the deceased had been arrested after some effort.
