Nature’s wrath : Five injured as tremor jolts Hazara

The earthquake was recorded at 5.8 on the Richter scale.

MANSEHRA: At least five villagers suffered minor injuries when a tremor, followed by three aftershocks, hit different parts of Hazara Division during the early hours of Friday. The earthquake was recorded at 5.8 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was 51 kilometres north of Mansehra district, police said. The first tremor hit Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan and Torghar at 2:58am, followed by the first aftershock at 6am and the second at 6:15am. Finally, a third was reported at 8:36am, forcing locals to run out in the open.
