Heinous act: Video of school teacher being gang-raped circulates

Former teacher says she was threatened with a gun, taken to a house and raped while being filmed

Sadia*, a former school teacher, had to quit her day job and stay at home after the entire village found out what she was to ashamed to tell anyone.

The 23-year-old was gang-raped by four men and the perpetrators filmed their savage attack, which has since circulated online, BBC reported.

The video of the rape has two versions circulating on the internet – one is about five minutes long, the other goes on for about 40 minutes.

Sadia, who is now too afraid and humiliated to leave her house, was kidnapped when she was on her way to a market to purchase a school uniform for her sister.

She said she was threatened with a gun, taken to a house and was raped while being filmed as the sordid act took place. Sadia said she pleaded the guilty party to let her go, but they beat her even more.

"After I begged and pleaded with them, they beat me even more," she says. "They said to me that if I don't listen to them and do what they want, they'll show everyone the video, put it up on the internet, that they would hurt my brothers and sister.

The video was eventually seen by her uncle, who showed it to Sadia’s father.

"She felt too ashamed to tell me because I'm her father. If her mother had been alive, I'm sure my daughter would have told her," her father said.

After the video was seen, her family reported the crime. The culprits were eventually found, what with the small size of the community and the video itself.

Sadia is also aware that the video is being watched.

"A lot of people are watching this video for fun, they see it as something interesting," she said.

The accused are currently in jail and are facing a trial. However, the video continues to circulate and is yet to be deleted.

First and foremost the male organs be removed from the bodies of culprits and Rangers should get hold of the culprits and after a speedy trial of 7 days they hanged minus their male organs. If its done then it will be presumed that our political leaders are also involved. Where is the wife of Khan e Khanan

Find the video, blur the face and body of the victim, take screengrabs of those culprits and publish them on social media, flash them on news channels frequently intervalled. The culprits should feel the shame not the victim. This girls deserves to live her live as freely as any other girl out there. Fr that to happen the media has to play its role rightly.

If someone has the courage to watch such horrible things, they should take stills of the faces of the criminals (not the victim) and put that on the internet... shaming them as rapists!!

All other acts and punishments shall be eye wash and would not dispose justice. Punjab CM needs to look into such increasing crimes. Please do not protect culprits by usual ifs and buts.

These kind of incidents are not new in secular democracies, whether its India, Britain, France, US, or Pakistan as is the case highlighted in this article. The states which claim to be the flag bearer of progress, civilization and rule of law appears to be most oblivious of the state of affairs of their people. This situation can only change with the change of system i.e, by ridding democracy and replacing it with Islam.

They probably knew that they would not get into much trouble with the law as in the past incidents like these have not been given much consideration. If found guilty these beasts should be dealt accordingly with the law.

The statement announcing the death penalty for the attackers' should begin with "In sum, this court has found the perpetrators' crime to be extremely damaging to public confidence in the protections of citizenship, and sentences them to..." Only then can the victim be reassured that her society cares about what happened to her.

Think how many crimes like these might be going unreported. In India at least they report and make big fuss about it, it is first step. Identify problem, then solve it, this how society should work.

To the victim - please be strong - you have nothing to be ashamed of, it is the rapists and the families who bred them who should be ashamed. Any of our esteemed mullahs speaking out about this?

Don't they have sisters, mothers and other female relatives, they have no respect for their own and exemplary punishment should be in the offing for them. The government should require the net works to take the clip off the line and those who are watching it for fun should be ashamed of themselves. She is the victim of the crime and we should be sympathetic with her because it could happen to any one because there are scum of the earth people every where.
