Jacqueline Fernandez’s much-awaited film Roy is set to release on the Valentine’s Day weekend, but the Bollywood head-turner doesn’t believe in dedicating a specific day to love. “It is a form of entertainment, just to see what people can come up with and do for each other,” she said, reported Times of India. “I don’t really believe in it because it’s like getting dressed up for Halloween. I think it is pure entertainment and should be not taken too seriously,” she added.

On whether she’s single this V-Day, she revealed, “I am pretty single and I’m also very bored. Being single is terribly boring. And I am a romantic but only when I am in love. When I am in love, I am ridiculously and hopelessly romantic.” Commenting on her experience working alongside Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor in the film, she said it was nothing short of amazing.

She didn’t know either of them before she started working on Roy. “Arjun is a genuine, lovely honest and hardworking person. He is so involved in everything and very helpful towards his co-stars,” she shared. “It is a beautiful thing to see that quality in an actor and that enabled me to improve my performance.”Ranbir, on the other hand, is someone who takes a little time to open up, she said.  “Once he opens up, he has got an amazing sense of humour and the right attitude towards his work. He is someone who genuinely loves his job of being an actor,” she commented.

Jacqueline starred opposite Salman Khan in her last film Kick. She feels, “Salman is the most handsome man in the industry and Arjun Rampal comes second.” On similarities between Salman and Ranbir, she said, “Both are extremely genuine. The common trait between the two actors is that they both love what they do. I see that in them and I see that hunger and passion.”

Although she takes up the role of a filmmaker in Roy, she can’t imagine being behind the camera in real life. “I feel it is a very fine art to be able to direct someone. You have to create a certain atmosphere and energy for them. But I feel that I can be better directed.”

In a recent interview, Arjun said that Jacqueline is very high on energy. Every morning she gets up, she is jumping and ‘screeching’. Concurring with him, she said, “I am high on energy. I was his (Arjun’s) morning alarm, as he needed to wake up early since we had morning shoots. But Arjun actually is extremely punctual.”

Singing her co-star’s praises, she said Arjun has a great attitude towards work. “I was so impressed with the way I saw him work. The kind of energy that this guy brings on set pumps everyone up.” Most of Roy has been shot in Malaysia and she enjoyed every bit of the shooting. “I have spent quite some time in Malaysia as my mother is from there. And shooting there was a great experience. I went to two new places that I have never been to, Langkawi and Penang. It was very nice,” she concluded.
