At the roast, the complainant Wazir Shaikh claims "Ranveer Singh publicly kissed Deepika Padukone and she responded; both behaved obscenely."
The FIR is filed under sections for indecent behavior and stars may face punishment upto five to 10 years of imprisonment and fine upto Rs0.2 million.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has promised action against organisers of the controversial comedy show if it had violated any law.
Objectionable or not
Karan Johar was apparently given an earful from his friends in the industry for his participation in the controversial AIB Roast, reported Times of India.
The report stated that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have criticised Karan for participating in the act, especially when his mother was sitting in the front row, the entire time.
After shooting for the show, Karan Johar had confided in his close aides that his mother did not mind the jokes, rather she had a good time, stated the report.
The latest celebrity to support the AIB Knockout is Ram Gopal Varma, reported Times of India.
The filmmaker posted a series of tweets that read, "The AIB show is final proof that India has finally come of age and I truly appreciate Karan for taking the plunge or more correctly the leap; anyone who condemns Karan's AIB Show whether from government or various organisations are just the figureheads of repressive regressions."
The famous director said the sheer popularity of the AIB was a call to the censor board to wake up and look at new India.
"Karan took the lid off a volcano of lies and hypocrisies and history will remember him as the guy who invented new India," he said.

Well said. The fundamentalist Hindus and fundamentalist Muslims are always at each other's throat, yet they are united in their views on cultural and moral issues. Both live in dark ages.
@SYM Yes we Indian Muslims thanks a lot to Mr. Zinnah (To save us from such mess). BTW it seems to me that you are not aware that VHP wants to impose their version of sharia law, NO NUDITY, NO VULGARITY, NO ALCOHOL etc. so its not abou Hindu or Muslim. Enjoy your days in pakistan & let us live in our Poor India.
Bollywood copying Hollywood doesn't make them liberals. Filth is filth. Ram Gopal Verma's comments that India has come to an age doesn't set well in Indian culture. India is an Eastern country not a western country it should cherish its heritage and culture so should others who are following Hollywood or Bollywood. Filthy jokes or obscenity is not appreciated in any higher society and it certainly will not have economical impact either.
Stop copying other cultures in name of liberalism.
When Russell Peters does it the passes are sold for $300 minimum... It is just that sub continent is not yet ready for this...
Bravo to those indians going crazy on an obscene gesture from a pakistani hockey player being highly unthical and indecent (y) Indian culture have just stooped to the newest low!
@Malatesh: Then what is vulgarity according to you ?
Nothing vulgar in that show.. Audience had no problem, Some people are making this as a big issue unnecessarily. If this is vulgar then most of the Raj Kapoor's films would have been banned..
Ban this vulgar show or give this A rating and telecast after 22 00 . Take it away from Youtube where children can watch this any time .
Absolutely agree with SYM. We would rather die in a blast or see our children die in schools than be a part of the obscenity!
P.s. incase you didn't get my sarcasm, you need to get yourself checked.
Who are these people? Why do we have to worry about them? Who is Dawpeeka? Who is this Ranveer? These are strange names.
These bollywood filths need to be behind bars.
Thank You The great Quaid-e- Azam for saving us from Hindu ideology and culture. He figured out this some 100 years back. Legend!!
