BANNU: A bomb disposal squad (BDS) on Wednesday morning defused explosives planted outside a government school in Bannu, Express News reported.

Police were informed about the explosives planted outside Badshah Khan Government Primary School early morning, after which rescue personnel were dispatched to the area.

Security forces cordoned off the area until the explosives were defused and removed.

Children were allowed to go inside the school once the area was cleared.

Yesterday, at least seven unidentified assailants hurled two hand grenades at a school situated in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Allegedly retaliating to government’s decision to hang terror convicts, the miscreants – riding motorbikes – threatened the residents and school staff early morning.
