Asian squash event: Pakistan juniors lose final to Malaysia

Pakistan were placed in Pool A along with Singapore and Kuwait.

KARACHI: Pakistan lost to hosts Malaysia 2-0 in the 2015 CIMB Foundation Asian Junior Team Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday.

Pakistan’s Tayyab Aslam gave away the lead to Malaysia as he lost his match against Ng Eain Yow 11-6, 13-11, 11-7 while Pakistan suffered another blow as Muhammad Asim Khan also lost to Darren Chan Ti Lunn 3-0.

Pakistan were placed in Pool A along with Singapore and Kuwait.

They reached the final without conceding any match in the tournament, defeating Hong Kong 2-0 in their last-four encounter.

Malaysia were favourites to win the trophy after they defeated India 2-1 in their semi-final match.
