Collaboration: Sargodha DHQ awarded teaching hospital status

The agreement was signed at the civil secretariat.

Health Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik and University of Sargodha Pro-Vice Chancellor Zahoorul Hassan Dogar on Friday signed an agreement giving teaching hospital status to Sargodha District Headquarters Hospital under University of Sargodha medical college.


The agreement was signed at the civil secretariat.

The health secretary said the hospital had already been granted teaching hospital status and specialist doctors of the University of Sargodha medical college were providing consultancy and treatments to patients there.

He said the agreement had now been formalised. He said DHQ and THQ hospitals were being strengthened by ensuring availability of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff and medicine.

He said the affiliation was an important step in the direction.

Malik said that it would provide house job opportunities to graduates of Sargodha Medical College. He said diagnostic and treatment facilities for patients would also be enhanced.
