Research: Tanners’ association signs MoU

This is the second research project between the two entities.

KARACHI: Pakistan Tanners Association has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Punjab to control skin diseases among the ruminants of Pakistan. This is the second research project between the two entities. The first project was conducted a few years ago after which both agreed to conduct a joint study on how to control these diseases to avoid economic loss, which is about 18% of total value of hides and skins in Pakistan. The MoU was signed by Dr Talal Naseer Pasha, Vice Chancellor of the University, and PTA Hide and Skin Sub-Committee Chairman Agha Saiddain.
