Tragedy: Two die of suffocation in AJK

Two women died due to suffocation while using a coal heater in Muzaffarabad district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Friday night.


The deceased were identified as Noor Bibi, 50, and Zubaida Bibi, 70. They were laid to rest in Pahaliyan Pateka village.


Meanwhile, another two persons died in two separate road accidents in the state on Saturday. In first, a 12-grade student was hit by a bus in Muzaffarabad city.


The Chanari-bound bus (LES 6267) hit the student, Shoaib, at Chatter Chowk near the Supreme Court building. The victim was taken to Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences where doctors confirmed his death.


In the second incident, a van fell into a ravine while negotiating a sharp curve in Kotli district. The driver, Asif, died on the spot. Another occupant, Waqas, received serious injuries in the accident. He was taken to Kotli District Headquarters Hospital where doctors said he was out of danger.
