MUZAFFARABAD:

An FIR was lodged against the senior minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) after he had a brawl with the principal secretary of AJK’s premier on Wednesday.

According to details revealed by official sources, Senior Minister Chaudhry Yaseen scuffled with principal secretary Fayaz Ali Abbasi at the PM Secretariat. AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed and Chief Secretary Abid Ali were also present when this scuffle took place.

Yaseen was angry over the allotment of grade 22 to Chaudhry Fayaz Akhtar and the appointment of Irshad Qurashi as secretary local government.

“Yaseen, without caring for the premier’s protocol, grabbed Abbasi by the neck and hurled him onto a sofa and tried to hit him,” a source revealed.

They said that Yaseen gave death threats to Abbasi but the chief secretary intervened and separated them.

Later, Abbasi lodged an FIR against Yaseen accusing him of interfering in the rules of business and physically assaulting him.
