Deadly collision: Six of a family injured in accident

Residents of the area pulled out the injured from the vehicle after cutting its body.

Six people, including two children, were injured when their car was hit by a Karachi-bound train at an unmanned level crossing near Shorkot Cantt on Friday.


Police said the family, residents of Dunyapur, were going to Karachi for a wedding,

They said a train hit their car at an unmanned crossing at Chak 327-JB.

They said Iqra, Asghar Ali, Aiman Bibi, Haidar, Nauman and Usman were injured in the accident.

The sound of the collision was heard nearly two kilometres away.

Residents of the area pulled out the injured from the vehicle after cutting its body.

The family was rushed to a hospital. Doctors treating them said Iqra, 14, and Nauman, 5, were critically injured. Police said a team had been formed to investigate the incident.
