Police raids: 17 arrested in separate incidents

Kohsar police arrested accused Amjad and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him

Islamabad Police have arrested 17 outlaws and eight ‘professional’ beggars from various areas of the city and recovered 1.25 kilogrammes of hashish, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesperson said here on Thursday.


According to details, Kohsar police arrested accused Amjad and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him. Bhara Kahu police arrested four accused identified as Afzal, Bakhtayar, Abdul Waheed and Kamran and recovered a Kalashnikov rifle, a 12-bore rifle, a 30-bore pistol and 1.25 kilogramme hashish from their possession.

Meanwhile, Margalla police have arrested an accused Israr involved in theft, while Shalimar police apprehended two thieves Jabbar and Nazeera Bibi.

Moreover, Tarnol police arrested accused Shah Wali involved for decanting gas in cylinder illegally. Ramana police arrested Imran for possessing a 30-bore pistol, while Khizar Hayat, Kahsif and Habib were apprehended for possession of looted items.

Bani Gala police arrested Fayyaz for decanting gas in cylinders illegally, while Shehzad Town police nabbed Younus and Sufyaan on the charge of possession of two pistols. Koral police recovered a 32-bore revolver from an accused Gul Khan.
