GUJAR KHAN: Five robbers struck a house in Gujar Khan and made away with cash and valuables. A media report said that the masked robbers broke into the house of Muhammad Bashir in Jinnah Plaza around 12 noon on Tuesday and held the inmates hostage. They ransacked the house cupboards for about an hour and made away with Rs80,000, jewellery worth Rs300,000 and other valuables. In another incident, the same police arrested a suspected woman drug peddler and seized 1.2kg of hashish from her possession. Acting on a tip-off, the police party arrested Irum Javed at a checkpoint. The police registered separate cases under the relevant laws.
