HSY appointed member of PIFDC Senate

Fashion mogul joins other members such as Nayyer Ali Dada, Musarrat Khosa and Dr Ishrat Hussain.

KARACHI: After Hassan Sheheryar Yasin’s (HSY) brand set the runway ablaze at PIFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW) 2014, the fashion mogul has now been appointed as a member of the Senate of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design in Lahore.

PIFD’s Senate comprises  over 20 members and meets at least twice a calendar year. Hassan joins renowned members, such as Nayyer Ali Dada, Musarrat Khosa and Dr Ishrat Hussain to name a few, in a council headed by the President of Pakistan, stated a press release.

“I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been appointed as member senate of PIFD, an institution will always remain a special part of my journey as a fashion couturier. I hope that my experience and contribution to the industry will greatly aid me to make positive contribution to the council,” said HSY.

In his years of fashion, HSY’s revolutionary role has been of noteworthy influence, working to shape the course of the Pakistani fashion industry and to create new professional benchmarks through his fashion design, fashion marketing and promotion. With his representation in the Senate of PIFD, he looks to create new fashion trends in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design is a specialised design institute, enabling students to become inventors of fashion as well as marketers of their designs.
