KARACHI: Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has advised the public to avoid dealing with the Port Qasim Authority (PQA) in sale/purchase of land till the government takes a decision. The commissioner issued this directive while presiding over a meeting of the land committee formed to resolve land related issues between the government and the PQA. He said there will be complete ban over the sale of land at Port Qasim till the survey is completed and final decision given. Shoaib Siddiqui expressed displeasure over delay in the completion of the survey. He directed the relevant Assistant Commissioner to complete the survey within one week and present its report. The commissioner said that unless the survey is completed, land allotted or sold by Port Qasim to various institutions will be considered illegal.
