Panic gripped Lyari after an Awan bomb exploded on Friday

KARACHI: A 16-year-old girl confessed to killing her father inside their house in Bengali Para, Bilal Colony on Friday.

The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Lal Khan. Korangi Industrial Area police officials said that the victim's daughter, F*, has been taken into custody for killing him. She surrendered herself to the police. According to police officials, she hit her father with a baton over a family dispute. The man died, resultantly.


Tension in Lyari

Panic gripped Lyari after an Awan bomb exploded in the locality on Friday, killing a young boy and injuring four others.



Ten-year-old Muzzamil, son of Abu Bakar, was killed when unidentified members of a Lyari-based gang fired an Awan bomb from an undisclosed location in Lasi Para. Four others were injured in the attack. They were identified as Roshan, Maaz, 11-year-old Farheen, and 12-year-old Moazzam, son of Abdul Karim.


In a similar attack, 18-year-old Muhammad Javed, son of Aslam, was wounded in another Awan bomb attack in Bihar Colony, Lyari. He was also taken to Civil hospital for treatment.


Sources said that gangsters belonging to the Uzair Baloch group started violent activities in their stronghold areas since early Friday morning to support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) protests. .


On the contrary, Lyari SSP Sheeraz Nazeer denied these rumours and said that Lyari remained open on Friday.
