KARACHI:

There are easily more than a hundred people at Five Star Chowrangi in North Nazimabad at 7am on Friday. They stand behind the 20 to 30 PTI activists who have blocked the main road with their own vehicles. The crowd swells after the Juma prayers end and then they head over to Sharae Faisal to catch a glimpse of Imran Khan, who was expected to make an appearance at the Nursery sit-in.

The people at the sit-in claimed they were there to support the change that PTI has promised. “We need peace and Imran Khan must work to make sure out children hold pens instead of guns,” said 54-year-old Naseem Sagari, who sported a long beard. He said he could not trust parties that have accepted their workers are encroaching amenity plots.
