Five references against the former president were reopened on October 12, 2013.
The court today acquitted him in the ARY and Ursus tractors deal references. Previously, he was acquitted in the Polo ground reference.
ARY case
The case is related to granting licences to ARY traders for import of gold and silver which caused losses to the public exchequer, amounting to approximately Rs18.2 million.
Ursus tractors deal
Ursus tractors case deals with alleged misappropriation in the purchase of 5,900 Russian and Polish tractors at a cost of Rs150,000 each, for the then Awami Tractor Scheme.
The Ursus tractors purchase deal allegedly caused a loss of Rs268.3 million to the ADBP and Rs1.67 billion to the State Bank.
Two more references - Cotecna and SGS - filed against Zardari are still pending for which the court has summoned the former president on December 17.

@Sam: The "General" had already closed all these cases through notorious NRO. Zardari has won his innocence through process of law but the Dictator needs to be punished for heinous crimes including but not limited to the NRO.

We were told by Misters Nawaz and Shahbaz and Saifur Rehman and Sheikh Rashid that Asif Zardari was corrupt. I have now started questioning the credibility of the charges due to their chronic lying tendencies. PTI is slowly learning their tactics. To this date I am clueless about the sources of income of Sheikh Rashid, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Ch. Nisar, Khawaja Asif, Javed Hashmi, and Ishaq Dar.

Been 7 year's since the farcical free judiciary movement, only beneficiaries were the powerful & corrupt who wanted power from Musharaf. Common man didn't get anything, in fact suffering more at the behest of the collusion between all the corrupt.
Lets stop being pessimist all the time. Firstly jamhoriat gets saved due to this decision. Secondly public money gets saved as the result was expected from our court system. Thirdly it exposes the depth of weakness and corruption in policing and corruption in our legal system. And finally PPP can now start having full faith in the legal system.

Why Should not the courts haul up the person responsible for registering the cases if they were fake/faulty or politically inspired ? These cases have taken years to settle, wasting time and resources of State.
