LAHORE: Sana Hafeez, Fashion Coordinator and Designer at Sana Safinaz recently unveiled her latest venture, the launch of Indian jewellery brand, Outhouse in Pakistan. Through edgy and eclectic style, the intention is to add an avant-garde element to spruce up even the simplest of outfits. Using myriad of colours, textures and stones, each style of Outhouse is handcrafted, while keeping in mind the quintessential idea of the fearless and daring girl.

Karachi has been buzzing with excitement since Outhouse Jewellery decided to exhibit there and more so, the social media has been flooded with the delectable pieces the Indian design house is offering. After showing at FPWAW14 with Sana Safinaz, the exhibit was all the rage in Karachi.

“I have always loved accessories, they can dress up or dress down an outfit,” Sana Hafeez tells The Express Tribune, “I became acquainted with Outhouse about a year ago when my husband came back from Delhi with a few pieces as a birthday present for me.”

Outhouse jewellery is the brain child of sisters Kaabia and Sasha Grewal which was established in October 2011 in India. Their design philosophy is edgy and eccentric with a modern twist to it that appeals to audiences everywhere. The brand boasts the loyalty of celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Sienna Miller and Sonam Kapoor to be avid fans of the brand.

“My association with the brand happened quite naturally,” says Hafeez. “And while we were in talks with Outhouse, closer to FPW I brought it up with Sana Safinaz and they liked the pieces and that’s when I decided to launch the brand with an exhibition in Karachi.”

From palm rings to body harnesses, the collection has something for everyone. “The pieces are beautifully crafted and different because the design house uses brass plating with 18k Rose Gold and then they also use a mix of semi-precious stones, crystals and stones from the quartz family. With a combination of funky claws and leaves, the collection made quite an impact on the ramp as well as at the exhibition.”

The collection is priced between Rs 9,000- 50,000. Sana Hafeez plans on bringing the collection to Lahore soon.
