Lala to miss kabaddi World Cup

Pakistan squad reaches India for fifth edition of mega event

KARACHI: Star raider Lala Obaidullah has been excluded from Pakistan’s kabaddi World Cup squad that reached India for the fifth edition of the mega event.

When the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation officials were asked about the shock omission, they replied that the Punjab Sports Board is looking after the team this time.

Shafiq Chishti has been named the skipper, while other players include Akmal Shehzad, Muhammad Irfan, Rehman Ishtiaq, Muhammad Khan, Musharraf Javed, Khalid Bhatti, Mohsin Naseer, Muhammad Ramzan, Ali Shaan and Naeem Tahir.

Meanwhile, Madiha Lateef will lead the Pakistan women’s team which includes Saira Saeed, Neelam Riyaz, Sehrish, Nida Arshad, Saira Bano, Ammara Razzaq, Augusta Ajmal, Sadia Abdul Khaliq, Sumera Zahoor, Syeda Fareeda Khanam, Rukhsana Parveen and Zeenat Parveen.

Without Babar, Sajjad and Lala Pakistan is very poor no hope of even final.
