Corporate corner: Dubai Islamic Bank opens new branch

The bank intends to take its branch network to more than 175 along with 45 branchless banking booths

KARACHI:


Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited (DIBPL) has opened a branch in the Korangi Industrial Area. It was inaugurated by State Bank of Pakistan Deputy Governor Saeed Ahmed. DIBPL Chairman Mohamed Saeed Ahmed Abdulla Al Sharif, CEO Junaid Ahmed and other members of the board of directors were present. Speaking on the occasion, Saeed Ahmed reaffirmed the SBP’s commitment to the promotion of Islamic banking across the country. Al Sharif said Dubai Islamic Bank being the pioneer of Islamic banking globally was committed to the long-term prosperity of Pakistan as well as Islamic banking. The bank intends to take its branch network to more than 175 along with 45 branchless banking booths.
