City crime: Bag carrying jewellery, cash stolen

LAHORE: The bag of a Pakistani-American woman carrying diamond jewellery worth Rs15 million was stolen on Friday night from a tailor’s shop in the Defence Housing Authority, police said. They said Mrs Sarfraz Islam had gone to the shop in H Block marker of the DHA when a woman there took away her bag. They said they had drawn the woman’s sketch with help from the victim. They said they hoped she would be arrested soon. Mrs Islam told The Express Tribune Rs300,000, £3000, $600 and a passport were also in the bag.
