Immigration authorities in London imposed a fine of 2,000 pounds on Pakistan International Airlines after two of its air hostesses were found travelling with expired passports, Express News reported on Sunday.

The air hostesses travelled on PK-785 and arrived in London from Islamabad where they were held by the immigration authorities.

Issuing a warning, the London immigration authorities directed the national carrier to abide by the rules in the future.

Earlier in September, customs authorities had detained PIA crew members – returning from London -  after they recovered 21 smartphones and 5,000 British pounds from their possession.

@Pareshan aatma: Exactly right. Pakistan Immigration should have checked their passports for UK validity. They do that to everyone else. Maybe the two wanted to disappear from the airport.

It is at least tolerable compare to some air india pilots flying with expired license.
