Kot Radha Kishan: Court sends main accused on judicial remand

Meanwhile, the court has extended judicial remand of 39 other suspects

LAHORE:


An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge approved judicial remand of the five main suspects of beating a Christian couple to death and burning their bodies in a brick-kiln.


Shama Masih and Shahzad Masih were thrown in a kiln by a mob in Kot Radha Kishan for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran.


ATC Judge Rai Ayub Marth has sent Yousaf Gujjar, owner of kiln, Muhammad Hussain, Haris Bashir, Iftikhar Mohind and another unnamed person to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.


The court has also directed police to submit challan against them within next week.


Meanwhile, the court has extended judicial remand of 39 other suspects and granted three-day physical remand of 16 recently arrested accused to Kot Radha Kishan police.


Police registered a case against accused under sections 302 for prempted murder anbd other clauses related to rioting.
