KHAR: Nearly 2,000 patients were given free medical check-ups and medicines at a mobile camp set up by Bajaur Scouts at a hospital in Pishat, the main centre of Salarzai tehsil in Bajaur Agency, on Saturday. The initiative is aimed at providing free medical advice and treatment to the underprivileged at their doorstep. Senior officials of the security forces were present on the occasion. Speaking to the media, camp in charge Captain Dr Muhammad Usman said the camp was initiated on the directives of Bajaur Scouts Commandant Colonel Mir Amir Ali. “This will facilitate the underprivileged people who live in remote areas,” he said. According to Usman, such camps would help curb the outbreak of fatal diseases. In October, the Scouts organised a free medical camp at a hospital in Nawagai tehsil. The mobile camp has visited different parts of Bajaur Agency.
