Expressed in words: Hindko journal dedicates issue to Syed Ameer Gillani

An event was held to launch the special issue’s draft at the scholar’s shrine on Sunday

Gandhara Hindko Board (GHB) has devoted an issue of its Hindko journal Sarkhail to religious scholar (late) Syed Muhammad Ameer Shah Gillani also known as Moulvi Jee.


GHB Senior Vice Chairman Professor Dr Adnan Gul spoke to guests at a modest event held to launch the special issue’s draft at the scholar’s shrine on Sunday.


Speaking about the life of the scholar, Gul said “Moulvi Jee was a beacon of knowledge and had to his credit several books.” The vice chairman said, “Moulvi Jee was respected not only in Peshawar but also in other parts of the country and even abroad.”


Senior writer and researcher Sheen Shaukat shared the outline of the publication, discussing the list of content to be included in the journal’s issue.


The board’s general secretary, Ziauddin Siddiqui, also invited people to send write-ups for the issue.
