Qaim Ali Shah, Manzoor Wassan issued show cause notices by PPP for Thar negligence report

Shah and Wassan told to file written reply over a report that lists irregularities and negligence of the govt in Thar

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday issued show cause notices to Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and the Sindh Minister for Prisons Manzoor Wassan over the mismanagement of Thar situation.

According to a statement of the party, Shah, who is also the provincial president of the PPP and Wassan the deputy general secretary of the party in Sindh, have been asked to file a written response to the notice.

According to the PPP, the notices were issued after television reports of a report being filed about the crisis in Thar.

Anti corruption department in its report had listed massive irregularities, negligence on the part of various government departments in dealing with droughts in Tharparkar district.

The drought in Thar has claimed 234 lives, including infants and children.

Murad Ali Shah is the next Chief Minister of Sindh. He was tapped to be the CM a in 2008 but Mr. Zardari decided that Mr. Murad will be brought in when Mr. Bilawal is in Power.

Just Show cause notice is not good enough. Position comes with serious responsibility. These Two should be starved to extinction .
