Powering up: PESCO promises no outages on Ashura

Sub-divisional offices of Pesco would also remain operative during the 9th and 10th of Muharram

PESHAWAR:


The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has established a crisis management cell at WAPDA House and issued special instructions to deal with all power emergencies during Ashura.


After orders from Pesco Chief Executive Tariq Sadozai, the company decided there would be a constant supply of electricity to feeders powering Imambargahs. According to a press release on Friday, trolley-mounted transformers and other necessary equipment had been provided to Pesco subdivisions and complaint centres to tackle emergencies.


Pesco field formations were ordered to ensure continuous power supply during Ashura and the crisis management cell would work under the supervision of operations chief Engineer Nadeem Anwar.


Sub-divisional offices of Pesco would also remain operative during the 9th and 10th of Muharram.


The press release asked consumers to contact their relevant complaint offices or the crisis management cell at 091-9212010, 091-9212037 in case of a late response. Power consumers having any problems can contact the following numbers.
