ISLAMABAD:

At least 21 terrorists and eight soldiers have been killed during a major clearance operation in a restive part of Khyber Agency, where an operation, codenamed Khyber-I, has been under way since earlier this month.

“Twenty-one terrorists were killed and several others injured during a major clearance operation in the Spin Qamar area of Khyber Agency by security forces on Wednesday,” the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations, said in a statement.

Eight soldiers embraced martyrdom during the fierce exchange of fire that ensued during the clearance operation, the statement added. Army chief Gen Raheel Sharif attended the funeral of the deceased soldiers held in Peshawar garrison. He also visited the CMH to enquire after the health of soldiers injured in Operation Zarb-e-Azb which has been under way in North Waziristan since mid-June.

They should call a spade a spade. Instead of terrorists they should be termed as "agents financed and funded by Indian-Afghan nexus"

Great example of LEADERSHIP by General Raheel Sharif. Wish him nothing but the very best in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. May God help Pakistan and the Pak Army, its COAS, Commanders, and all soldiers to get rid of this cancer of Islamic terrorism. Sincerely from an Indian.
