Rejoinder MQM in power for 20 years: Memon

The provincial minister said that feudal system no more prevails is Sindh, it was culminated by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said on Tuesday that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has been enjoying power for the past 20 years. During the tenure of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, the MQM enjoyed authority over complete Sindh for the period of five years as all important ministries were in their hands, he added.


“Moreover, Dr Ishratul Ebad is holding the post of Sindh governor for the past 12 years. He is also from MQM,” Memon maintained. The provincial minister said that feudal system no more prevails is Sindh, it was culminated by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. “Doing agriculture is no crime, and hundreds of thousands of farmers and landlords are associated with this profession in Sindh.”



He reiterated that landlords have caused no harm to the economy of Karachi, in fact it’s the menace of terrorism, target killing and extortion which has damaged the economy of Pakistan’s financial capital.
