SUKKUR: The bullet-riddled bodies of a man and his wife were found in the outskirts of Mureed Mahar village in district Ghotki on Thursday. The villagers spotted the two bodies near the village and informed Adilpur police, who rushed to the scene and took the bodies to a taluka hospital in Ghotki for post-mortem. The victims were identified as Mithal Mahar and his wife, Mai Sachul, both of whom were residents of Mureed Mahar village. Both of them had bullet marks but Mithal also had a rope tied around his neck. An officer at Adilpur police station, who requested not to be named, said that a resident told the police that the couple was targeted due to their ‘bad’ character. The police are, however, looking into the matter.
