CADD Minister Usman informs abolishment of evening shifts in Islamabad schools

The National Assembly was informed on Thursday that the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) would construct more educational institutes in sectors G-13 and G-14 in the near future to accommodate students.


During question hour, CADD Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had allocated land in theses sectors for the construction of educational institutes. He said CDA had also been directed to allocate land in the new sectors being developed in the capital.

The minister also informed the house that it has been decided to abolish evening shifts which were continuing in various Islamabad model colleges and schools, saying the government has been requested for provision of funds for construction of new blocks in schools and colleges as sufficient space was available.

He said evening shifts in two institutions — Islamabad Model College for Boys H-9 and Islamabad Model Postgraduate College H-8 — have ended.
