After-sales service?: Rs50,000 sought for Rs10,000 mobile phone

He asked the court to order Adil to compensate him, replace his phone or repair his phone.

The judge of a consumer court on Wednesday issued a notice to a phone dealer regarding a case seeking Rs500,000 damages.


Muhammad Usman said he had purchased a used mobile phone for Rs10,000 from Muhammad Adil in Samanabad. He said the phone had started dysfunctioning after a few days. Usman said he had told him to bring the phone to his shop for repair. He told the court that Adil had failed to solve the problem. Usman said he had approached him again in vain.

He asked the court to order Adil to compensate him, replace his phone or repair his phone.

Adil said he had not sold a faulty device and said the phone had been repaired.

He said he would again repair his phone if he brought it to his shop.
