Security alert: 5 POs arrested, weapons seized

A total of 115 bikes lacking number plates were also impounded

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police announced on Tuesday they had arrested five proclaimed offenders during checking at several police pickets. According to a police spokesman, pickets have been set up at various city exits.

“During checking, police arrested five wanted men. Three unlicensed handguns were also seized,” the police said.

A total of 115 bikes lacking number plates were also impounded. Talking to newsmen, a police spokesperson said a crackdown had been launched against anti-social elements in the city.

He urged policemen to perform their duties diligently and said negligence would not be tolerated.

He said police were investigating several cases and more arrests would be made soon.
