Street crimes

Letter October 17, 2014
The Sindh government and the Karachi police need to get their act together in this regard

KARACHI: The increasing rate of street crimes in Karachi has made the lives of citizens a living hell. As days go by, it is becoming harder for Karachiites to move around freely in their own city. They are already being burdened by a high inflation rate, and an increase in street crimes is definitely getting on their nerves.

There are policemen stationed around the city but ostensibly to no effect. Many victims of street crimes do not even bother to report them to a police station as they know that nothing would come out of it and that it would be just a waste of time. The Sindh government and the Karachi police need to get their act together in this regard.
