Stranger danger: Two women assaulted in Faisalabad

Two separate attacks in Chak 295-GB and Chak 633-GB

Two women were assaulted in separate incidents on Friday.


Tandlianwala Saddar police said three men had broken into a house in Chak 295-GB and assaulted a woman alone at home.

Naseer Ahmad, an uncle of the victim, told police that his 24-year-old pregnant niece was doing some household chores when the men broke in. He said they had beaten her and raped her.

He said after the girl fainted, the men fled. He said when he came home, he found her lying unconscious.

He said he took her to a hospital where doctors said she had miscarried.

Tandlianwala Saddar station house officer said a case had been registered and a police team had been formed to find and arrest the suspects.

He said they were waiting for medical report of the victim before making arrests.

Separately, three men assaulted a 21-year-old woman in Chak 633-GB and escaped.

Lundianwala station house officer told newsmen that some men abducted the girl when she was returning home for a market.

They said they took her to a field and assaulted her.

He said her screams alerted a farmer and the men fled on seeing him approach.

He said a case had been registered and a team had been formed to find and arrest them.
