Karo-Kari: Two women killed for ‘honour’
A woman identified as Shahida was declared ‘karo’ and killed by her husband, Sundar Shar.

Two women were gunned down in the name of ‘honour’ in separate incidents in Shikarpur district on Monday evening. The Sultankot police reported the first incident in the Elahi Bux Chandio village. Elahi Bux Chandio suspected that his wife, Bakht Khatoon, was having illicit relations with someone in the village. On Monday, while she was preparing meals, Chandio opened fire at her and fled. She died on the spot. A case has yet to be registered. The other incident took place in the Rakhiyal Shar Ji Wandh. A woman identified as Shahida was declared ‘karo’ and killed by her husband, Sundar Shar. Garhi Yasin SHO Tufail Ahmed Ahmadani registered FIR No. 72/2014 under sections 302 and 211 of the Pakistan Penal Code against Sundar Shar, Gul Mohammad Shar and an unidentified person on behalf of the state. No suspects have been arrested yet.
