Our Correspondent September 23, 2014

FAISALABAD: A sessions court on Tuesday issued warrants for the arrest of six policemen, including the Saddar Circle deputy superintendent of police (DSP), for not following its orders. Additional Sessions Judge Raja Amjad Iqbal had summoned the DSP, Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Yar, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Abdul Wahhab, constables Najmaul Hasan, Khadim Hussain and Maqbool Ahmad. The policemen are deputed at the Saddar police station. They had been directed to record their comments in a case filed by a petitioner Ahmad Jan. However, none of them appeared before the court. On Tuesday, the additional sessions judge took serious note of the absence of the policemen from the hearing and directed the Faisalabad city police officer (CPO) to arrest the six. The court directed the CPO to ensure that the DSP appeared before the court on September 27 and the other policemen on October 7.
