Tragic loss: Boy shot in robbery, family protests

Upon receipt of information, DSP Javed Iqbal Bajwa reached area with a police team and negotiated with the protestors.

A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in a robbery in Sadiqabad early on Sunday morning.


A police spokesman said two men broke into a house in Moosa Nagar and held up the inmates. Rajab Kosh, 14, tried to resist. The robbers shot him and fled with valuables. His family and some residents of the area staged a protest at Moosa Nagar Chowk. They placed the body on the ground and chanted slogans against the police. They said the police had failed to control crime in the area. They said there had been several robberies in their area recently but the police had failed to find any suspects. They said the robbers should be arrested as soon as possible.

Upon receipt of information, DSP Javed Iqbal Bajwa reached the area with a police team and negotiated with the protestors. He told them that the police would do its best to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
