Targeted?: Second attack on trader proves fatal

The city police have registered a murder case against the unknown assailants and investigation is underway.

ATTOCK: A local trader was killed by some unknown assailants here late Saturday, police said. Police sources said that the 32-year-old businessman Syed Ehtesham Shah, a resident of Karbala locality, was on way to home, when he was attacked by three armed men near Sattar Chowk in the main city. Shah sustained serious injuries. Local police and Rescue-1122 shifted him to the district headquarters hospital, but he died on the way. In their preliminary investigation, police suspected that old enmity could be the behind the crime as Shah had been attacked in similarly way some 18 months back and was seriously injured, the sources said. The city police have registered a murder case against the unknown assailants and investigation is underway.
