Agricultural institutions: Accreditation activities reviewed
The Annual Work Plan for 2014-15 was approved with minor changes
ISLAMABAD:
The National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) reviewed accreditation of agricultural institutions in its 10th meeting held at the HEC Secretariat. It noted with concern that the new degree programmes required a lot of improvement. It reviewed the progress of accreditation activities during 2013-14 in different agricultural institutions in the country. The Annual Work Plan for 2014-15 was approved with minor changes, besides approval of the budget for 2014-15. There was a consensus to work proactively, carry out evaluation and accreditation of degree programmes, conduct awareness seminars and strengthen the institutional database. In recent years, the Higher Education Commission has taken initiatives to improve access and quality of higher education.
