Attacking police station: ATC approves PML-N MPA's bail

Khurarianwala police on July 19 registered a case against Rana Shoaib Idrees for attacking three officials

FAISALABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Faisalabad approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Rana Shoaib Idrees' bail against surety bonds worth Rs300,000, Express News reported Friday.

Idrees was presented before the court today and Judge Ishtiaq Ahmad granted the bail after the PML-N MPA's lawyer requested his client's bail during the hearing.

The Khurarianwala police on July 19 had registered a case against Idrees for attacking three police officials.

Sub inspector of Jaranwala police station, Riyasat Ali was injured when Idrees and his men had barged into the police station and attacked the policemen.

His men had freed three men from the police station, damaged furniture and demanded weapons from the police.

Despite denying allegations, police had arrested him.
