Did you know? Fawad Khan, Sonam Kapoor plan visit to Wagah Border

Their trip to Wagah Border is symbolic of the way the border serves as a bridge between Pakistan and India

September 17, 2014

Actors Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan, who are gearing up for the September 19 release of their film Khoobsurat, were scheduled to visit Wagah Border — the only road border crossing between Pakistan and India.

The two were expected to be at the border for more than an hour to witness India’s Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers perform ‘The Beating Retreat’ ceremony at sundown, reported the Times of India. The military practice comprises elaborate saluting and disciplined movements from the security forces of both countries.

After Sonam’s plan of visiting Pakistan for Khoobsurat promotions could not be executed, it was reported that she was excited to finally see her Pakistani fans up close at the event. It was said that high security measures would be taken for the celebrities, and that the police and Amritsar administration were about the visit.

Sonam and Fawad’s planned trip to Wagah Border is symbolic of the way the border serves as a bridge between Pakistan and India. All eyes are on Fawad to see if he performs just as well in his Bollywood debut as he has in his preceding Pakistani projects. We hope the film paves the way for more collaborative ventures between the two countries.

Because of the ET news i downloaded the movie and watched. I really had never watched so bogus and worst movie. Actually i am nt complaining about the acting but about the story. There is no story. The worst movie of the Bollywood. The same sinam kapoor had worked nicely in mivie 'bhag milkha bhag'. I want my pakistani brothers and sisters to watch this movie which is based on our countries partition "bhag milkha bhag".
