ISLAMABAD: Lawyers of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday observed a strike against the assault on Prime Minister’s House, Presidency and Parliament House by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers. On the call of the Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association, the lawyers of IHC boycotted court proceedings against attacks on state buildings by PTI and PAT workers. They also condemned police brutality against the media teams. The lawyers did not attend case hearings and claimed that they would take to the streets if any unconstitutional or unlawful steps are taken in Islamabad. Several cases have been postponed due to the lawyers’ strike.
