An alleged member of the Lyari gang war was killed when the Rangers raided a gang hideout in the Saifi Lane area of Lyari after a tip-off. His body was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi, for an autopsy.

The deceased was later identified as Anwar, aka Anwar Kabari. The Rangers spokesperson said that Anwar was associated with the Badshah Khan group in Lyari. Weapons were also recovered from his possession.
