Striving hard: PR officials told to realise targets

Anjum said that as many as 1,000 shops would be constructed this year.

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways (PR) General Manager Pervez Anjum instructed divisional superintendents on Friday to realise revenue targets and improve operational services. Anjum was presiding over a meeting at the Railways headquarters on Friday. Federal Government Railways Inspector Ghazanfar Abbas and Additional General Manager Javed Anwer were also present on the occasion. Anjum instructed Pakistan Railways officials to strive to realise the targets set for their regions by the federal government. He said that the Pakistan Railways would also construct and lease 10,000 shops on land owned by the Pakistan Railways to achieve the targets set. Anjum said that as many as 1,000 shops would be constructed this year. He said that the Pakistan Railways would negotiate with the federal government and financial institutions to clear its accrued debt. Anjum told the officials at the meeting that the PR was operating 40 power vans. He urged the officials to propose ways of enhancing customer experience.
